The Unseen Hand is a science fiction play, concerning itself with the structuration of language, which, in turn, structures our sub-conscious. I reworked some parts of the play to suite our locale and audience and directed it over a period of forty-five days.

Accidental Death of an Anarchist is perhaps the most well-known play by Daro Fo. The play is about witty disguises of a maniac who enters the police station as a judge and exposes the corruption of the police department through his apt enactments. I had to adapt the whole script to our locale, reworking it to suite our audience. The background events were changed to the Sialkot killings and the play was reworked with local music interludes.

Tooth of Crime is a musical by Sam Shepard. I reworked the whole script and directed the play in a little over seventeen days to meet performance deadlines. The play was performed to an awe-stricken audience of approximately five hundred youngsters.

Bulha was originally written by Shahid Nadeem and originally performed in Punjabi by Ajoka Theatre. The play, about the life of renowned Sufi Poet Baba Bulleh Shah, was later translated into English by Prof. (Rtd.) Shaista Sonnu Sirajuddin and published by Oxford University Press. This translation was what I reworked and directed for our stage at Lahore Grammar School. I also arranged and directed the musical score, based on Baba Bulleh Shah’s poetry, which was performed live by the students of Lahore Grammar School.

This famous Shakespearean play needs no introduction. Staged multiple times around the world, Julius Caesar is an excellent theatrical piece to introduce youngsters to drama. I edited the script to fit the 1.5 hour timeframe and directed the music accompanying the theatrical produce. The play was performed in front of selective audience of young adults and grownups and received praise for the acting, set design and structuration.
